1977 STYX – The Grand Illusion LP A&M Records – SP-4637 Original Vintage
Vinyl. The album was released in July and was at the top of the charts in
September...an immediate smash hit. Many of the band’s songs have
quasi-medieval and fantasy lyrics and themes. This LP is no different. Some
tracks are commentaries on contemporary American life and the experiences of an
American rock band in the mid-to-late 1970s. The fantastic cover shows miner
wear, the colors are still brilliant and the art is wonderful. It was remade
from an original piece created by René Magritte in 1965 titled "The Blank
Signature". The record looks very clean with some lite scuffs. Has original
paper sleeve with lyrics and splitting on one side. No Poster. $25.00
