Hi there, thanks for finding these beautiful flutes
I am a professional Bansuri player. I work closely with a Bansuri maker in
north India . I hand select and personally import ( to UK ) a small batch of
Bansuris each year, mostly for my students, but I am interested to supply good
flutes to any musicians and students that are serious to have a real authentic
Bansuri.
Note to beginners In Bansuri:
Please don’t be put off by ‘ professional ‘ quality . This does not mean these
flutes are not for students in flute. Everybody should learn on a quality
instrument that is correctly tuned.
The market of Bansuris is saturated with cheap flutes of low quality bamboo
and inaccurate tuning. To learn- and play- correctly its very important to have
a genuine Bansuri that is tuned well and made from high quality Bamboo
For those interested in flutes properly tuned made from the correct the type
of bamboo- sourced from the jungles of Assam that is properly seasoned- then
you have come to the right page!
Please feel free to message me here or on whattsapp/ telegram +44 (0) 7927
948788 with any questions at all, even about Indian classical / Bansuri music.
I’m happy to answer questions as this subject is my passion, no obligations to
buy.
I use these exact same flutes to perform - you can listen to one ( in E ) in
this video: https://youtu.be/aUWzE21e9Jg
FLUTE KEY INFO:
This is an G BANSURI (low pitch) in the Indian system - meaning 3 holes
covered will play note G . In the Western system this flute is classed as D -
meaning all holes covered will play the note D.
Therefore this can be used as a G flute or a D flute.
Bansuris can play ANY scale (scale is not ‘key’) with the use of half covered
holes to get minor notes.
PACKING:
Please be assured, these Bansuris will be packaged and posted well protected.
I have never had any report of a Bansuri being damaged in the post.
I am also a Bansuri/Tabla / Indian classical music teacher, if you are
seriously interested to learn please feel free to contact me and I can give you
details of my online one to one lessons.
