Cleo Laine Dudley Moore Jazz LP, Superb! 1980s Vintage Vinyl Record Album.
Smilin' Through, Great 80s Jazz Piano Gift Hollywood Collectible

This 1982 album showcases two unique talents in jazz, Cleo Laine and Dudley
Moore. Most of us Americans knew Dudley Moore back in the '80s for the movies
"10" -- the famous 1979 hit starring Bo Derek -- and "Arthur," an even bigger
hit that followed in 1981. "Arthur" gave audiences a glimpse of the kind of
musician Moore was -- a suave jazz pianist.

"Smilin' Through" catches Moore at the height of his celebrity, and what good
fortune that we get to hear him with Cleo Laine, one of the greatest jazz
singers of our era. I was honored to interview her and found her a lot of fun
and very down to earth. She had a style that could be very laid back but at the
same time was very passionate. "She brings out the heat in the lyrics," it has
been said about her. It is certainly true in this record.

This album is in great condition. The front cover gleams a bright scarlet red,
with virtually no surface wear. The back cover too is unmarked and pristine --
just a trace of ring wear near the top where the record pressed against the
cover. The vinyl record itself looks to be in terrific condition. It was
clearly treasured and cared for.

This would be a great gift for anyone who has ever laughed, brooded, or sipped
a cocktail to any of these songs, and who has not. Dudley Moore's fans, people
who loved him from movies, would love seeing this side of him. A jazz fan would
love it because it is somewhat off the beaten track. Dare we call it a rarity?
We dare.
