French Baroque Christmas LP, Superb! 60s Vintage Vinyl Record Album
Charpentier Oratorio de Noel. Whimsical Angel Art, Classical Music Gift!

We love these vintage Nonesuch albums, with their whimsical album art. This
one is a classic, with its beautiful violet blue background and its fanciful
picture of angels singing. Nonesuch's performances are known to be fine, and
this one features the Roger Blanchard Choral and Instrumental Ensemble. The
music is in French Baroque style. Charpentier's oratorio is formally titled,
"Pastorale on the Birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ." An oratorio amounts to a
vocal drama -- a story told in arias and choruses.

This record is believed to have been in the hands of a classical radio
station. It has been treated extremely well and on the back is inked, "Total
Time: 41 Min." There is a touch of wear at the corners of the jacket but
otherwise it is in great condition. The artwork gleams. Charpentier, born in
Paris in 1643, wrote this music for the Princess de Guise's Christmas Eve. It
is as beautiful and elegant now as it was centuries ago.

This would make a great addition to the collection of any connoisseur. The
music is lovely enough at first hearing so that guests would love it at a
Christmas gathering. It will lend an elegant note to any occasion. Me, I would
just listen to it myself, sipping that "Noel in Paris" tea that I love. But
that's me.

Shipping is free in the U.S. We shrink wrap our albums to protect them and
dress them up.
