Brand new, fully assembled, calibrated and tested Turing Machine Mk II
Eurorack module. Designed by Music Thing Modular and built by Monolith Modular
using the designer's PCBs and aluminium panel plus self-sourced quality
components as per the designer's specification except for the scale pot we now
use a panel mounted alpha pot with micro knob matching your choice of knob
colour * instead of a tall trimmer which tend to be wobbly and harder to make
fine adjustments with. We also place a red tab on the power header for easy
identification of -12v and include a black, white or red switch cap. Assembled
by an experienced synth builder using lead-free solder.
Includes 1 Year Warranty, a 15cm power cable and 4 x M3 mounting screws or
M2.5 screws are available instead on request.
All shipping is insured and sent by Special delivery in the UK and tracked &
signed overseas unless otherwise stated.
* Please inform us of your choice of knob colour before or soon after placing
an order or we will send it with black knobs. We currently have the following
colours available, in the order of the images: Black, Cream, White, Dark Grey,
Red, Dark Red, Blue and Dark Blue (no image shown).
Designer's Description
Turing Machine Mkii is a binary sequencer, based around a 16 bit memory
circuit called a shift register. It’s designed as a sequencer that you can
steer in one direction or another, not one that you can program precisely.
You cannot program this sequencer to play specific tunes. You cannot save
sequences. You can never go back to a sequence that has changed.
To put it another way: This Random Looping Sequencer is a module that produces
clocked randomly changing control voltages. Unlike many random voltage
generators, these sequences can be locked into loops that repeat according to
the length control.
