Beautiful Handmade Wood Guitar Pick Box or Box and Picks Engraved with the
design shown in the first picture and personalized with your name, date, or
short saying! You can also choose to engrave custom text on the back of your
pick box/picks.

Our Pick Boxes
All of our pick boxes and picks are made from premium hardwood, no plywood or
pressboard! We do not stain or paint any of our boxes, but apply several
finishing coats of lacquer to show off the natural wood grain.
Choose from 4 different woods (shown in the listing photos): Ambrosia Maple,
Mahogany, Cherry, and Walnut. Please note that the wood grain will vary from
box to box. Ambrosia maple wood varies greatly and can be very light with
little variation or very dark with grain contrasts and worm holes. Cherry wood
is our second lightest wood and is fairly consistent. Mahogany is a darker
reddish wood. Walnut wood is our darkest, please note that walnut wood may not
show engraving as well as the other woods.
Each box is hand made. The Pick Box is approximately 3" long x 2 1/2 inches
wide x 1 inch tall and lined with velvet on the bottom inside of the box. The
top of the pick box twists open and is held closed with a small magnet. This
pick box can store 4+ of our wood guitar picks.

Our Picks
All of our picks are made from premium hardwood and hand-sanded into shape.
Picks are approximately 1-3/8"tall x 1-1/4" wide x 2mm thick. Picks are
finished with mineral oil, so no residue comes off when playing.

Custom Engraving
The design shown in the first picture is engraved on the front of the box with
your name, date, initials, or short saying. You have the option to engrave the
back of the box with a name, date, initials, or a short saying as well. Please
see the listing photos to view our font options.
The front of the picks are also engraved with the design shown in the first
picture, and you can have the back of the pick engraved with a name, initials,
date, or short saying as well.
All text is centered on the box and pick.

Ordering:
1. Choose the wood type and items you would like from the drop-down box. You
have the option to order the pick box by itself, or with 1, 2, 3, or 4 picks.
When choosing the wood, keep in mind that detail shows up better on lighter
colored wood, such as ambrosia maple or cherry.
2. Choose if you would like to have your items engraved on just the top, or
the top and back from the drop-down boxes. If you are ordering picks with your
pick box, this will apply to the picks as well. The pick box/picks will be
engraved on the top with the design and your custom text, and the back will be
engraved with your custom text.
3. In the personalization section, note the name, date, initials, or short
saying you would like engraved on the top of the box/picks to go with the
design. If you chose to have the back of your box/picks engraved, please note
the text you would like engraved on the back as well. We recommend not more
than 12 words on a pick box and not more than 6 words on a pick. Please
distinguish which text goes on the top and which text goes on the back. If you
do not we will use our best judgement for the placement of the text. Be sure to
double check all spelling and capitalization as we will engraved it EXACTLY as
you have noted. Be sure to specify what text goes where, and also note your
font choice. A list of the font available is shown in the listing photos.

4. Add the item to your cart and Leave any other info or requests in the Add a

Tips for Choosing the Right Wood
~ Detailed Engravings or Engravings with a lot of text: If you’re ordering a
box with a detailed engraving, or an engraving with a lot of text, keep in mind
that detailed engravings and smaller text shows up better on lighter colored
wood (Ambrosia Maple or Cherry).
~Wood color and grain vary from piece to piece, even wood in the same species.
~Walnut wood, although normally darker, can have lighter contrast and the
color can vary greatly.
~Ambrosia Maple wood, also known as Ghost Maple, also has varying color and
grain. Although normally light, ambrosia maple wood is known for its dark grain
contrasts, adding brown, gray, and bluish highlights to the wood. Ambrosia
Maple wood also has worm holes. The worm holes and darker grain highlights come
from the Ambrosia Beetle Inhabiting the Tree before it was harvested, hence the
name “Ambrosia Maple”.
~Cherry wood and Mahogany wood have the most consistent coloring, although
Cherry wood will turn darker over time. Here is a little info for comparing the
woods:

-We select specific cuts for each piece, but if you have a specific
preference, would like a lighter piece of walnut, an ambrosia maple piece with
a lot of grain contrast, etc., please note your preference in the “Add Note to
MJs4848” box in your cart and we will do our best to pick a piece to your
request.

As every piece is hand made for every order, please allow adequate time for us
to build, engrave, and finish your personalized box. Check the Shipping Info
