Ten (10) pieces of gouged and shaped oboe cane that does not quite meet my
standards, and may be slightly warped or crooked, but still makes for great
practice cane, and can produce decent reeds. It is gouged on an Innoledy
gouger, with center thickness between .58 and .61mm and edges tapering down to
.48-.50mm.
Cane Type:
- Rigotti: One of the most widely used types of cane, grown in France. Medium
to medium hard, and of medium density
- Innoledy: Grown in China. One of the softest and least dense canes
Tube diameter:
- 10-10.49mm: will produce reeds with a larger, more rounded opening
- 10.5-11mm: will produce reeds with a smaller, less rounded opening
Shape:
- Joshua +4: Hand shaped, will come with ears attached
- RDG -1: Shaped on a Reeds 'n Stuff shaping machine, no ears, shape may
differ from cane shaped using a traditional shaper tip of the same name
