SPIRIT of the FOUR DIRECTIONS - shaman drum with signature symbology artwork - 14" diameter

I am thrilled to be offering my signature artwork drums. They are beautiful in
every way - capable of holding a rich deep resonant tone and an amazingly
consistent sound quality.
The unique properties of these fiber and resin skin hides, ensure a consistent
sound no matter what the weather or elevation.
*Note: most animal hide drums often loose their tone and timbre when we travel
or play them near oceans, lakes, rivers, damp days or nights. This can
permanently ruin the animal hide and of course the sound, as there is no way of
re-tightening it.
As a shamanic practitioner and sound healer, working with the right vibration
is very important to me. This offering is an ideal tool for healers or body
workers that relies on a certain sound vibration for their practice.

I offer this drum with my own unique beautifully designed artwork, bearing
ancient sacred symbols and/or animal totems that add powerful medicine to the
player.

"Spirit of the Four Directions" - sometimes referred to as The Four Winds,
represents the cardinal directions - East, West, North & South. Native American
teachings share with us:
East - new beginnings, birth, purity, family, innocence - amazement of life
South - youth - passions of the heart, humor, friendships, self-control
West - adulthood - solitude, stillness, inner reflection, letting go of what
no longer serves
North - place of the Ancient Ones who have gone over - teachers, place of
wisdom
In most traditions, colors that represent the directions are Yellow-east,
Red-south, Black-west & White-north, which also signify the different races
from each continent. However, colors can interchange or are sometimes different
altogether according to some tribal nations. To represent the directions, I
created an open palm hand with an energized spiral - an ancient symbol of
healing and protection recognized by many cultures, including the Mayans,
Egyptians, Tibetans and found in the teachings of the Kabbalah.

This drum is a medium size - 14" in diameter x 3.5" deep and comes with it's
own stained wood handle and padded beater. Comfortable to hold and easy to
play, even for long periods of time - a perfect drum and sacred tool for
journey and trance work. All artwork is sealed for protection and will hold up
permanently as long as the padded beater is used. Treat this sacred tool as you
would any treasured possession.

Your drum will bear the title of my artwork and signature painted on the
interior of the frame.
I also like to include a small red prayer tie as a symbol of gratitude to
mother earth from whence the gifts of my creative materials come.
