Antique, The Metropolitan whistle with period chain.

I believe this whistle is nickle plated brass, the plating is in tact with
little to no rubbing of the plate.

There are no markings on the diaphragm and no pips.

The cap on top of the whistle reads "PATENT 5727.08" and the detailing on the
front, which is curved, reads:

" The Metropolitan, Patent. J. Hudson & Co. 244 Barr Street, Birmingham "
These identifying marks help me to conclude this whistle was produced between
1907 - 1922.

The chain is present and indicative of the time. This is a working whistle.

A perfect gift for collectors and general noise making people.

This is a preloved item and will have some signs of wear and use.
