Vintage 1955 FOLK SONGS Of CANADA, Hardcover Book w/ Lyrics and Music, Waterloo Music Co. Ltd., English and French Canadian Songs, Songbook

A terrific, vintage songbook, this one out of Canada: Folk Songs of Canada,
with Edith Fulton Fowke as the literary editor and Richard Johnston as the
book's music editor. It is the second printing, printed in 1955 and published
by Waterloo Music Company Limited, Waterloo, Ontario.

Illustrations are by Elizabeth Wilkes Hoey.

The book is a hardcover that measures 10.75-inches X 7.75-inches with 198
pages.

Songs come with lyrics and sheet music. Chords for guitar are also provided.

Most of the songs are in English but some are in French. There are many
Canadian classics here, all dating back to the days of folk music. Some include
I'se the By That Builds the Boat ... Les Raftsmen ... The Moon of Wintertime,
My Bark Canoe ... and many others. A full reproduction of the entire list of
songs is included in the photos section of this listing.

The book is in great condition for its age. A name and date on the inside end
paper. No other writing on any pages and no stained pages. One small tear on
the bottom of a page that has been taped. Binding and spine are in good
condition with all pages well attached.

This is a great, collectible book filled with folk songs from Canada, many of
which may be long forgotten. Would make a terrific gift or simply to use as a
campfire song book!
